Now that I Don't "Work" Anymore

Two months ago I traded in 60 hour work weeks at a career enhancing job I loved  for a job that wouldn't interest me the slightest if it wasn't for the 40 hours/month schedule and almost same pay. Good trade? I think so. I find that I am a happier person working a job that I don't absolutely love. I think I just don't care as much and put less time and effort into it--which means more time for other things.

Such as:

Exercise! I've been able to lose some of the weight I gained since I started my old "new" job with the girls. It is amazing what stress will do to your body. Also, my hair has stopped falling out as much.

Eating and Cooking Healthy--I actually feel like cooking healthy meals again. Love it, and I know Dirk does too.

Cleaning--my house is actually clean and organized now. When Dirk comes home and the house is clean, dinner is on the table, and I'm wearing a cute little apron, I feel like such a housewife from the 60's. I love it though. I just need to master folding a fitted sheet...

Creating--decorating, crafting, sewing. My achievement leaders would be so proud. I was not into this stuff before.

Reading--I actually use that library card.

Cleaning--I clean a lot. I had a lot of cleaning to make up for.

xbox- Love me some dance central and guitar hero.

Terrible t.v shows-- the trashier the better. Haha jk.

Dreaming- I dream of grad schools, children, houses, exotic places, outdoors, food, but mostly dancing.

I feel like an empty nester, but with a young body. Seriously enjoying this part of my life. Did i mention I never use an alarm clock? It is the bestest.
