Recently, I have heard of creamed corn on toast, mashed potatoes on pasta, and gravy on french fries (okay maybe that is just all of Canada.)
My family has one, that consists of saltine crackers, cheese, and marshmallows.
Cover a cookie sheet with foil and place saltines on top.
Spread a slice of cheese over saltines.
Place a marshmallow on top! The large ones are my favorite, but I only had small and they taste good too.
Bake in a toaster oven until cheese is melted and mallows are toasted. Since I don't have a toaster oven I broiled them in my electric oven.
In elementary, I made these almost every day as a snack.
Dirk and I have been married for over two years and this was the first time I have made them for him. He said they were "interesting," and then he ate a half of them.
Give it a try... You know you are curious.
So was this really a family snack? Or just a hungry-schoolgirl-Lauren-threw-everything-from-the-pantry-in-the-oven snack? I am curious though. So curious I may just pin this on pinterest to see how far it goes....
ReplyDeleteConsider it pinned. I even put a fake caption about how much my kids loved it.
ReplyDeletehahah awesome. I will find it and repin.
ReplyDeleteThese look good! I am going to try them. Your pictures are also very well done they look like a cooking magazine.
ReplyDeleteI know where these come from!!! My kids got them too. When Ashley first made them for Brendon she got the same response, and yes, he ate most of them up! lol
